Nominations are now open using an online nomination form. Winners of the regional EMS awards will compete for a chance to win the Governor's EMS Awards administered by the Virginia Office of EMS. PPE Donations On behalf of 64 EMS agencies affiliated with the (TEMS) and representing the cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach, and the counties of Accomack, Northampton, Isle of Wight and Southampton, TEMS is working to solicit and collect any extra, unused PPE from local businesses. The first step to becoming a member of the Critical Incident Stress Management team is completing a 2-day basic Group Crisis Intervention CISM training (or 3-day combined Assisting Individuals in Crisis and Group Crisis Intervention. Often, these courses have fees of up to $300 which can be a roadblock in applying for membership to volunteer with the CISM team. We know your departments are on a budget. Don’t let that prevent you from recommending or opening the door to one of your members who is considering additional tools to use in their work serving the public and supporting others in the community.
