With our best wishes on your retirement - The TEMS Team #TEMS #EMS TEMS Says Goodbye to Mike TEMS says "Goodbye" to Performance Improvement and Education Coordinator Mike McMahon whose last day is June 30 after 5-years of service with . During Mike’s time at TEMS, he has assisted our regional EMS PI Committee and its subcommittees with planning, data retrieval and analysis, and the development of PI projects and education. He also supervised the regional ALS provider sanctioning process, before COVID the consolidated test site program, the continuing education and auxiliary course funding program and has served as the general EMS education resource for instructors. Mike has also staffed the EMS Education and Training Committee and the Operational Medical Directors Committee. Read more: TEMS Says Goodbye to Mike Whole Blood Initiative After months of research, coordination with stakeholders and planning procedures for delivery of whole blood in the field, on September 1, 2022, the announced this critical new life saving program for our region. Initial roll out of the program is scheduled to take place in October in Virginia Beach with planned expansion to other localities as funding and training can be supported. The council presented top honors to the individuals and organizations considered for their remarkable contributions to the EMS field. This year’s award recipients have demonstrated a true commitment to excellence and a passion for serving others. They continually strive to provide the highest quality of care when it is needed most.
